Kirsten began his tenure in the world of Finance and Real Estate on Wall St at the age of 22. He would become the youngest licensed Series 7 & 63 Investment Banker in his firm. At 24, Kirsten recognized a tremendous opportunity in the market based on where interest rates were. The trend motivated him to co-found a mortgage bank in Chicago. First Capital Mortgage transformed into a Lending Tree, top-100 mortgage bank, with over 40+ branches and over 450 employees throughout the country within 5 years. This success enabled him to grow as a mortgage expert and understand the many facets of the business. Kirsten continues to use his domain expertise to get “tough deals” done, currently holding his mortgage license IL.
To date Kirsten has more than 14 years of experience in the mortgage industry, complimented with over 6 years in Finance and Real Estate. In addition to his investment banking background Kirsten received his real estate license in New York where he worked for the #1 real estate firm on Wall St, Platinum Properties. He currently holds his real estate license in Florida.
Having a passion for “Green Energy”, Kirsten brings a unique skillset having worked with commercial property owners in NYC. There he facilitated grant money for retrofits in order for buildings to become greener and to utilize green energy.
Of his accomplishments, Kirsten is most proud of his role as a tech startup CEO. Co-founding, BLUR along with Oren Schindler, he led and oversaw a successful raise over $3MM. BLUR grew to over 20 people on Wall St within 6 years from its founding. Combining messaging and gaming, connecting 27 local and global charities, prizes from 125 brand partnerships, and giving away $25K in scholarship money paid into 529's, BLUR was in a league of its own.
BLUR would fall victim to Apples antitrust practices shortly after launch. Coincidentally, one year later Apple would launch “Arcade". Apple Arcade would get over 100M downloads in the 1st year alone. Making it one of the most downloaded apps in history.
BLUR unfortunately would cease operations by then.
As if Co-Founding a Mortgage Bank and Tech company wasn’t enough, being an entrepreneur has been a true life pursuit seeing Kirsten as part owner of a record label, financier to a bar/ restaurant in NYC and designer of a high end clothing line.
